We strive to maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming atmosphere by adhering to accessibility laws and regulations, implementing appropriate policies, procedures, training programs, and best practices as outlined in our multi-year plan.

Customer Service

Trophy Foods is committed to making every reasonable effort to provide everyone with the same opportunity to access our products and services. We will assist those who utilize assistive devices, support persons, or require other accommodation services. Trophy will communicate in a manner that considers the specific disability of each customer, ensuring that everyone can fully enjoy the same benefits as any other customer.

Communication

Trophy is dedicated to fulfilling the communication requirements and ensuring that information and feedback procedures are easily accessible for individuals with disabilities. Our customer service team will undergo training to interact and communicate effectively with individuals with various types of disabilities.

Telephone Services

We are committed to ensuring that our telephone service is fully accessible to all our customers. Our staff will be trained to effectively communicate with customers over the phone using a slow pace while utilizing clear and simple language. Furthermore, we are prepared to offer alternative modes of communication such as email or written documentation for customers whose communication needs cannot be met through telephone communication or when it is unavailable.

Billing

Trophy is dedicated to offering easily accessible billing and invoices to all our valued customers and third-party business partners. We are fully committed to addressing any inquiries regarding the billing details and will take full responsibility for ensuring that alternative formats are readily available upon request.

Use of Service Animals

We prioritize the inclusion of individuals with disabilities who are accompanied by service animals at our office located at 71 Admiral Blvd, Mississauga, ON. Our staff members will be trained to effectively engage with people with disabilities who have service animals. However, please note that due to the nature of our business, all animals, including service animals, are not permitted on the plant and warehouse floor.

Training

Trophy is committed to ensuring that all employees receive comprehensive training on the applicable accessibility legislation and the Human Rights Code in relation to individuals with disabilities. This training will be conducted during the orientation process or within the initial week of employment. Furthermore, the training sessions will be documented and regularly revised to reflect any modifications made to the Company's policies, practices, or procedures.

Recruitment and Employment Standards

Trophy Foods is dedicated to promoting fair and inclusive employment practices at every stage of the employment journey. Our HR Team will communicate this dedication in job descriptions, job postings, and throughout the assessment and selection process, including informing applicants and new employees about our accommodation policies.

We will also keep all employees informed about our policies (and any updates to those policies) that are in place to assist employees with disabilities. When required, Trophy will create personalized accommodation plans and return-to-work policies for individuals who have been absent due to disabilities, ensuring that these plans are documented in writing. Accessibility needs and individual accommodation plans will be taken into consideration during career development, performance management, and redeployment processes or job changes.

Trophy is committed to identifying and eliminating accessibility barriers by integrating accessibility into our regular review of employment policies, materials, and procedures.

Workplace Emergency Response

Trophy will ensure that all employees with disabilities receive the necessary workplace emergency response information. If an individualized approach is required due to the nature of the disability, Trophy will provide the relevant information upon being made aware of the need for accommodation.

In cases where assistance is required, Trophy will seek the consent of the individual and share the workplace emergency response information with the designated person responsible for providing support.

To ensure ongoing effectiveness, the Company will regularly review the individualized workplace emergency response information.

Notice of Disruption to Service

Trophy will inform our customers about any temporary disruption, whether planned or unexpected, that may affect the services typically utilized by individuals with disabilities. This notification will detail the cause of the disruption, the expected duration, and suggest alternative facilities or services that could be utilized. Typically, this information will be displayed on a website and possibly on-site, if deemed suitable.

Accessible Website

We will ensure that all websites, including web content, adhere to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) set by the World Wide Web Consortium. However, in cases where it is not feasible to do so, we will make every effort to find alternative solutions.
